| | In May, the World Health Organization (WHO) launched the State of the World’s Nursing 2025 report that presents evidence submitted by 194 countries on nursing education, employment, migration, regulation, working conditions, and leadership. It provides analysis of the nursing workforce at global, regional, and country levels, with some surprising findings. |
| | Do you need financial assistance to cover the cost of the IHCNO membership fee? IHCNO can provide a subsidy for up to 90% of the annual membership fee for nurses in low- or middle-income countries, as designated by the World Bank, who find it difficult or impossible to pay the full membership fee. |
| | The American Nurses Association seeks public comment on the proposed revision to the position statement on Professional Role Competence. The deadline for comments is Monday, June 16, 2025, at 5pm ET. Comments from all countries are welcome! |
| | The Education Committee is pleased to share an exciting new IHCNO initiative: the development of a Pathway to Certification in Home-Based Nursing. While no formal certification currently exists in this specialty, the need is clear—home-based nursing requires a unique skill set that deserves recognition and support. |
