| | IHCNO is truly an international organization composed of members from 18 countries that include all six geographic regions identified by the World Health Organization. Our Board of Directors represents six countries to ensure international perspectives on our committees’ activities and projects. Because IHCNO is recognized as the only international organization of home healthcare nurses, we receive requests from individuals and home care agencies for guidelines and recommendations for professional nurse and aide training, continuing education formats to help nurses transition from acute care to home care practice, and content for undergraduate curriculum. |

Bowles, PhD, RN, FAAN, FACMIVice President and Director of the Center for Home Care Policy & Research, at VNS Health, Dr. Kathryn “Kathy” Bowles, was recently inducted as a fellow to the National Academy of Medicine. The academy elected 100 individuals who’ve made significant contributions and breakthroughs in research that impacted public health challenges and improving the health and well-being of others. |
| | We invite abstracts for oral and poster presentations showcasing research, education, leadership, clinical practice, policy, and innovation in home, community, and primary care nursing. |

Hosted collaboratively by the International Home Care Nurses Organization (IHCNO), the Association of District Nurse and Community Nurse Educators (ADNE) charity, and City St George’s, University of London, this event will bring together global leaders, practitioners, educators, and researchers to explore the evolving landscape of home, community and primary care nursing. |
| | IHCNO member Char Baumgardner MSN RN has a request for information from our newsletter readers. Char is a nurse educator at a home health agency in the United States and is establishing a home health aide training program. She is looking for examples of curriculum, teaching aides, and learning activities for the program. |
| | Your input is needed. The University of Iowa is updating the Nursing Interventions Classification and needs home health nurses to review the current list to determine if the list is still accurate. The intent is to create a list of interventions that represent the interventions that are most frequently done. It is NOT an exhaustive list of all possible home care interventions. The survey should take between 25 to 30 minutes to complete |

Each issue contains a continuing education article than offers nursing continuing professional development (NCPD). |
