Other colleagues and I have been busy representing IHCNO at international congresses:

- World Hospital at Home in Vienna, Austria, in April
- International Council of Nurses in Helsinki, Finland, in June
- Sigma International Nursing Research in Seattle, United States, in July

Our presentations and discussions about home-based nursing care are enthusiastically received, developing new relationships and expanding the influence of IHCNO.

Board Member Spotlight: Kathy Duckett, MSN, RN

Kathy Duckett, MSN, RN, has over 30 years of expertise in home health care and hospice. Kathy started as a home health care staff nurse in Detroit and Los Angeles and has stayed in home care and hospice as a Clinical Manager, Clinical Director, Regional Director of Operations, Director of Advanced Care at Home, Director of Clinical Programs, Population Health Director, Director of Training and Development, and Chief Clinical Officer. She has received Excellence awards for developing innovative programs in telemonitoring and chronic care.


Development of International Scope and Standards for Home-Based Nursing Practice

As part of its vision to be a recognized leader in the specialty of home care nursing through practice, education, research, and advocacy, the International Home Care Nurses Organization (IHCNO) has announced the formation of a Task Force in collaboration with the American Nurses Association (ANA) to develop the International Scope and Standards for Home-Based Nursing (HBN) Practice.

IHCNO Membership Subsidy

Do you need financial assistance to cover the cost of the IHCNO membership fee? IHCNO can provide a subsidy for up to 90% of the annual membership fee for nurses in low- or middle-income countries, as designated by the World Bank, who find it difficult or impossible to pay the full membership fee.
